Brand Strategist, Toast Media Group

Who we are and who we’re looking for:
Toast Media Group is a digital marketing agency based in Brooklyn. We work with a wide range of clients — media companies, e-commerce startups, digital services, community-driven platforms and influential individuals — to connect their brands to their customers in the places where they’re spending time. We take an audience-first approach to all of our work, moving backward from where consumers are to develop strategies that work within the digital ecosystem, not against it. Our services include: social media management, email marketing, campaign development, strategic partnerships, creative strategy and development, influencer marketing, search engine optimization and more.
We’re looking for someone to join our small but growing team to work on project management and social media content strategy development (for always-on content and campaign-based initiatives) in the context of the larger digital marketing ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
Develop narrative-driven and conversion-focused social media content strategies for clients across industries
Develop and manage brand social media content calendars with an emphasis on meaningful storytelling
Work with creative leads to develop content that is visually and textually engaging
Provide client updates to managing partners and liaise directly with clients
Lead weekly client check-ins and be able to answer on-the-fly strategic questions with smart recommendations
Project manage multiple internal work streams as they apply to single brand initiatives, campaigns or always-on content
Work with managing partners to create content strategy presentations for incoming clients that include smart content ideas
Track marketing channel growth for assigned clients and identify growth opportunities based on historical performance
Generate monthly reports with sharp insights for go-forward strategies based on content performance
Keep an eye on competitor and non-competitor social media channels to bring new insights or ideas to client accounts
General project assistance when requested
Additional Requirements:

Qualifications:
3+ years experience
Experience with client relations: An ideal candidate knows how to interact with clients, present logical and concise ideas and relay updates/feedback to the larger team
Ability to craft and present creative marketing initiatives
Engaging and clean copywriting and general communication skills with an understanding of platform-first tone
Demonstrated understanding of the social media landscape — where it is and where it’s going — and how it impacts clients
Instinctual data-driven approach to everything you do from content to creative
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that pivots quickly
