Position Overview: Toast Media Group is looking for a Social Video Producer to lead social-first video across our roster of brand clients. If you’re an idea machine who lives and breathes the formats, trends, and storytelling styles that make people stop scrolling, this role is for you.

We’re searching for someone who knows when a brand should jump into a trend—and when it’s smarter to sit one out. Someone who can build brand-defining, episodic video series that feel sticky, engaging, and worth coming back for. Someone who’s equal parts creative visionary, hands-on producer, and strategic communicator.

This is a high-ownership, high-visibility role embedded in a collaborative team that includes strategy, influencer/partnerships, paid, and creative.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Concept & Strategy

  • Support the Social Video Manager in ideating social-first video concepts, series formats, and content pillars.

  • Contribute ideas rooted in platform best practices, trending formats, and audience insights.

  • Help evaluate when a trend is worth jumping on—and when it’s not the right brand fit.

Pre-Production + Production

  • Build shot lists, scripts, treatments, and production plans based on creative direction.

  • Coordinate logistics including talent booking (with the Influencer & Partnerships team), locations, props, and schedules.

  • Prep everything needed to make shoot days run smoothly—gear, call sheets, releases, etc.

  • Shoot content both in-studio and in the field (iPhone and mirrorless).

  • Capture multiple variations and social-native elements (hooks, transitions, VO, behind-the-scenes).

  • Assist with directing talent, creators, or on-camera teammates, when needed.

  • Be open to, comfortable and excited about stepping in as on-camera.

Post-production

  • Edit short-form content using platform-native editing styles (fast cuts, captions, pacing, sound).

  • Support versioning, resizing, and optimizing content for each platform.

  • Incorporate feedback and maintain consistent quality across deliverables.

Client + Internal Communication

  • Communicate progress, needs, and timelines with internal teams.

  • Help prepare concept decks for client pitches and presentations.

  • Stay immersed in social content culture and share insights to uplevel team creativity.
